Good Quality.

These waste bags are good quality. I tried using an old plastic shopping bag and because it didn’t fit well it got caught in the drawer and tore, which made a mess. These bags are really thick and they’re made for the drawer size so they won’t get caught or have any issues. Not free though!

Long way home

Great product but the box arrived damaged

On Their Way

They are almost there I’d say, almost to the point they need to be where someone could be happy with their product. Let me give the analogy of a printer. If yours can run for months without getting jammed that’s good but changing cartridges is a hassle. If it runs for months without running out of toner, that’s hassle free. Not going to be a cheap printer, but hassle-free. ChillX has made scooping convenient where others have failed but, the AutoEgg cleaning, and changing the waste bag and replacing the litter isn’t streamlined enough to consider this the hassle-free technology. They need need to enlarge the waste drawer and automate those functions, in 10 years it will be hassle-free I predict.

Ummm, Worth It

I bought the ChillX AutoEgg and profited from my investment. Time is money. A cat-lover colleague recommended ChillX AutoEgg and we've saved SOOO much time. We just load fresh clay litter, turn it on, it drags a close fitting rake across the zig-zag tray and it’s clean every time. I can look at my cat's weight log and know if something's wrong right away, or text the data to my vet. It's safe, quiet, and keeps the litter clean with no work. I toss a bag of waste from a drawer weekly, and occasionally take 15 minutes to wash it. One of my biggest household chores now GONE. $400 for an appliance that saves this much time totally pays for itself.

Important Information

I’m excited to have this product in my home, for the first time I’m not cleaning up litter scattered everywhere and I’m not working nearly as hard as I used to on my cats. This is a very positive development. I’m now able to monitor the activity of my two cats with an electronic log. I noticed a change in the pattern a few months ago, found out one of my cats was diabetic.

Accept No Substitutes

I think the bag is part of the the ChillX AutoEgg product, it “comes with the territory” in a good way because it enhances the overall product. What do I like best about ChillX AutoEgg? Odor control. The tight-fitting rake mechanism they’ve invented keeps litter cleaner than you’ll ever accomplish by hand which leaves litter FRESH. Well, the bag FITS with that concept. It is made of biodegradable corn biomass, it smells nice, and it is thick, so when waste is raked into it, the odor is absorbed and cancelled out, and it won’t break while your disposing of it. I’ve seen people suggest using grocery plastic, please, really??

Puts others in shade

My friend has a similar Petsafe Scoopfree but it is way too loud and isn't the AutoEgg and he's already thinking of joining me with this

Good Not Perfect

Chill-X Autoegg is really the gold standard in term of ease of use, quiet, and simplicity. They also track the waste cats deposit in the pan with an electronic lag and have safety features which shut off the unit when cats enter, other competitors have these features but they don’t work as well. I found the waste drawer a little small, and doing a deep clean can be a lot of effort, although I only do that every other month. So I’m happy but there’s room for improvement.

ChillX Autoegg is a solid product.

Sometimes, I have a hard time putting the cover on and one of our cats is a little shy of it, but it’s a big improvement over the old approach of a traditional litter box and I wouldn’t’ trade it for any competing brand. Their customer service has been accessible via email for discussions of how to clean it and how to use the electronic log to monitor our cats’ waste routine for health purposes.

The Lexus Of Litterboxes

ChillX is reliability and quality, but minimalist, not ostentatious or flashy. It's closer to a Lexus that everyone admires and doesn't break down on you, but that people don't take street racing. They figured out people don't want features or pizazz, they want to relax!

Good But Other Options Needed

ChillX has actually achieved something unique with its biodegradable bags. We’ve been hearing about biodegradable replacements for plastics for years and I’ve never seen one in a consumer product, we’re even having to pay at the grocery store to use a bag because supposedly the biodegradable kind weren’t available. So yes, I am impressed at ChillX’s accomplishment, but people make a significant investment when they buy an AutoEgg, which is worth it because it’s engineered to actually work, but couldn’t they give the option of a less expensive non-biodegradable bag for consumers? I realize you can substitute in a similar-size bag to the drawer but it won’t be durable or have odor-control properties, I would have appreciated a less fancy option for the bag.

An Option Worth Considering

Get a reconditioned unit when a new Autoegg isn’t in stock. It’s under warranty, so you really don’t have to worry you’ll be left holding the bag for a defective purchase. Defnitely if you’re in the market for an Autoegg my advice would be to consider the refurbished unit.

Expensive but great

If you can afford this product it is a no-brainer.

Makes it Easy to Have A Cat

We love our cat, she’s part of the family but so much work to clean up after and that was always MY job. We got a Chill X Autoegg which did the trick for me! It looks so modern my visitors don’t know what it is until I tell them, it looks better than our old litter box and there’s no litter scattered around because of the no tracking pad, so the room where we keep it looks cleaner. You barely hear it while it’s cleaning, it stops if our cat gets in the box which keeps her safe! It keeps an electronic log of her weight and activity.

Wish Were Bigger

I’ll grant it is well designed, it works, the rake fits into the litter bed in a way that ensures a true clean on each sweep and that litter stays fresh. So, it disposes of the waste if I can get my cats into it. But I have one big guy (Tom) and one really big guy (Dom) (who’s afraid of TomJ) And the box is small for them. They will use it if I take the dome off, but it doesn’t look as nice when I do that. I would actually appreciate them coming out with a bigger version, sent their customer service an email, they thanked me, but doesn’t solve my problem.

The whole point

This is a well-made product, works as advertised and every design decision has a legitimate reason. Biodegradable resupply bags made by the company have to be changed out once a week, and every 2 to 3 months you should clean it, otherwise it is so quiet and safe you forget it’s there which is the whole point!

Quite the process

I know that all of the ChillX products are hard to get at the moment but this is not at all how they should treat their line. Sure, mistakes happen, but my product was very late (over 3 weeks from order). The customer service was very kind but didn't do much to help. I simply had to wait, in the end I suppose it was worth it for the minimal design.

My Cat Loves It

My cat loves her new auto egg, neither of us could tell that it was refurbished haha!

Good odor Control

I set up the self cleaning litter box at my Mom's house for her indoor/outdoor kitty. It was very easy to set up and the litter really controlled odor well. Every cat lover should get one.

Great

The market leader for a reason - they are of a tremendous quality and if you care about quality then these are the bags for you. A no brainer.

Duty

Our babies Nancy and Mikey loved using the box and he did his "duty" quite diligently as soon as we bought it. Removing solid waste though is a little tricky for me sadly with my age and all. Although we only had to use the AutoEgg for five days before change the liner, it could have easily lasted a week without any trouble. I *REALLY* wanted to love this product, but the issues small waster drawer is my only real issue.

Might have to wait

Previously with my regular litter box i was cleaning it every time it was used, my apartment is very small and the smell traveled so imaged coming home from a long day to that stench. This new product saved me as well as Louie (my cat) from more long hours of a stench ridden house.

Switched for good

Got mine second-hand and it's barely noticeable, finally made me switch too. Couldn't be happier!

Overall All Good

This works great. It's very quiet. Happy I went for a refurbished unit. Does just as well.

Not happy!!

Don't get it! Do better! It should've been perfect before being sent to me.
